| +1!!
Stay safe guys. No drinking before hunting, save it for after the hunt. And in general, no drinking/drugs before or during use of firearms. Respect your weapons, and require that the people you hang out with do the same.
Remember, guns dont kill people. PEOPLE kill people, and these situations can usually be avoided. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky, what do you use for your hunting rifle?
I've got a Remington 700 chambered in .300 WinMag. Currently scoped in out to 450 yards. Hella accurate, but kicks like a mule. I was using 165gr bullets for a while but just jumped up to 180gr last time I re-zeroed it. The heavier bullets tend to hold accuracy better during longer shots and arent as suseptible to wind variance like the lighterweight 165's.
For larger game I've got a Browning .45-70 w/peep sight. I'd like to put a diopter on the peep but havent gotten around to it. I load my own for it (and for the .300wm), currently using 550gr loads with this one though. |

| Just got back from the range today.
Shot my H&K USP 40 and my Bersa Thunder 380.
Had a great time! Fired at 3, 5, 7, 10, and 25 yards. Practiced drawing and firing from concealed carry, firing while maneuvering, firing at moving targets, double tap followed by headshot, double tap w/ low-ready assessment followed by followup double tap, and mag changes while shooting.
All in all a great time, shot up about 300 rounds. Made some beautifull patterns. Even the 380 patterns nicely out to 7 yards. |

| Polymer, adjustable-tension holster w/belt loop snaps for IWB fitted to my h&k USP.
soft-sided neoprene holster w/clip for IWB for my Bersa .380
ALso have a Blackhawk thigh rig that I like using for my H&K USP. mag holder on the front. Cofmy drop position. Allows me to wear my vest without getting in the way of carry and draw the way the IWB holsters do. But then, it's not concealable either.
Looking to find an ankle holster for my .380 so I can still wear it when Im wearing my b/p vest. |

| I like the way that bersa looks for CC...been carrying around my fullsize beretta for 2 years in a comp-tac c-tac... getting kinda tedious... looking for something more compact for a backup/cc...everyone here swears by the s&w 642, but I'm really leaning toward something semi-auto instead of a revolver, personal preference I guess...not a big 'gun' nut but was thinking about getting the sig p229..rented a few and seems to work for me. Think an ankle holster would do alright sprinting? | |
