Conclusion on #5. Poka knew he shouldnt have said it, but since I wasn't physically IN the server, he was still giving Tekniq crap about Tekniq getting down on him for it.

If I can come in here and say it, and he knows that, then he should know enough to know that he crossed the line. Point is I *shouldnt* have to come in and say it at 3am. He should know better than to bring it up in the first place. Or to continue a conversation that someone else initiates.

First off i would like to note i didnt say anything about becoming admin or anything of that nature.(if you think i did provide the evidence, otherwise you shouldnt mention it...) This comment (¤|NF|¤ AWPschlitzed.DP : just give poka admin so he QQ) was made sarcastically by a guy who said the joke wasn't racist but prejudice instead. Secondly i dont think you copied and pasted all of what was said because a lot of the chat just doesn't make sense. Why would i randomly say "blacks r stupid" out of nowhere when i was trying to say that the joke was racist and shouldn't be said. Also if you look closely at this specific message (¤|NF|¤ PoKaBuR *Perzn* :black people r stupid) There is no space after the ":" but there is a space right after the ":" in every other message sent. Why is that therrin?


Anyways here's what happened the guy named *BS!* BOOTYWARRIOR|TheEpoxyMan said that racist joke and i told him racism isnt allowed in the server. Both *BS!* BOOTYWARRIOR|TheEpoxyMan and ¤|NF|¤ AWPschlitzed.DP argued that it wasnt racist but prejudice. I then explained to them how the joke was racist and they still wouldnt let up. Anyways tekniq who wasnt saying anything this entire time randomly says in chat " therrin told me to tell you to stfu" directed at me. I thought he was joking and i told him "lol kiss my ass" "if therrin wanted to tell me to shut up he would tell himself and not through you" Because where i come from admins tell people themselves when they want something done because anybody can say so and so said this. So of course i thought he was kidding. Anyways the subject was dropped eventually and later comes Therrin and he starts to question what happened. So i try to explain what happened exactly and he asked why i pushed it when he told tekniq to tell me to "stfu". I told him i thought tekniq was kidding and i didnt know you really said to stfu.. he then proceeded to ban me. I didnt say anything racist, i was just trying to prevent them from saying those kinds of things in the future since its a BIG rule. And still after all of this i see this at the end of chat

Quite honestly im pretty disappointed at what therrin did.. He banned me FIRST and then he banned the guy who was being racist. Everybody who has played with me knows i have never said anything racist before, its just not me to make racist statements.

Looks like poka was onboard with it being racist because he said "how is that not a racist joke" and later pastes the joke, and says" black people are stupid" ... already we've seen that he's stating it is racist, and to me at least, saying black people are stupid is a pretty blunt summarization of the joke itself, not necessarily him stating that is his viewpoint, at least in context of the log that is how I read it... AWPschlitzed seems to reinforce the notion by saying "only 2 people said it and poka did once for a reinstatemnet" I'm assuming he means something along the lines of "reiteration" ,like restating it to state how it was in-fact rascist? Just make take on it.

Took a min this morning to message poka and see what the story was... He'd mentioned that after the joke was told, it was him driving the issue of it being a racist joke, and being inappropriate. As he stated it to me, he was pretty surprised that his attempt to enforce rules was met with first discussion on why the joke was not racist, and further why the issue would have been misscommunicated in a manner that resulted in his being banned.

I mean, we already know tek wasn't aware of the whole story, because he's missing parts of poka's chat while poka is dead and he is alive. It would be very easy for him to have missed parts of the warnings or conversation poka was directing toward the jokester. Whether that happened or not is unclear... but what I'm getting at is that it all seems very unclear and convoluted. And while "black people are stupid" at face value paints a very guilty picture here, I think when you consider the statements made before and after he said that, it makes the context seem much more in favor of a blunt reiteration of the joke, to reiterate why it was racist, than him making a racist statement.

Guys okay this is the problem on our server maybe we should be a little more stricter in the server i can't believe this kind of stuff is going in our server, let me tell you guys something next time i don't want to see jokes or racism about any color, race, and other stuff going into the server dosen't matter if its early in the morning or late at night.

The first report I got was of Poka saying blacks are stupid. I didnt even hear about the other guy until I got in the server and read that part.

As far as an admin actually having to get in and tell you. I was asleep when I got dragged into this. At first hearing it (and being mostly asleep) I told him to just tell you guys to throttle it down and cut it out. But that was met with ridicule, isntead of "gee, okay".

Why the hell would you ridicule ANYONE telling you to not talk about racism? Why does it have to be an admin? YOU KNOW ITS A RULE. So *I* shouldnt have to come into the server and hold your hand and have you say "Now repeat after me" like you're a little kid.

And. Your argument about "well I said it was racist first", doesnt so much matter. Not much different than the people who call out someone else for using racism, then a minute later say "hey are we allowed to say ****** in here?"

The reason the log i copied out of what was said doesnt make EXACT sense, is because I copied it all out, exactly as it was. Not EVERYTHING said was about that topic. Some of it was said about other things going on in the game, like someone getting killed, or something someone said over voice. I just copied out all of the written text. Think about this and you'll realize that it would never make perfect sense when read that way.


I'm disinclined ot believe you didnt say anything that was inappropriate Poka, otherwise why you shrug off someone else telling you to drop any racist discussion, and insist that I need to tell you to drop it?

I have a copy of the whole console log, with all the shooting reports strewn in with the text chat. And NOWHERE in there, when accused of saying that "blacks r stupid" did you deny having said it.

Honestly therrin i didn't see that tekniq had said that or i would have tore him a new one. IF i did say that, it was explaining why the joke was racist and why it shouldn't be said. All i was doing was telling the two that it was in fact a racist joke and that they shouldn't be saying it. Both NF AWPschlitzed and bootwar were denying that the joke was racist. How is that right at all? We have already deduced that the joke was indeed racist and i still believe that i was in the right for telling him that the joke was inappropriate. Maybe next time tekniq would like to figure out whats happening first before he starts points fingers especially since theres been problems with him and racism in the past. The funny thing is i think tekniq knew what was happening and agreed with the others that the joke wasnt racist. why else would they be saying this at the end of the conversation

And tekniq actually invites the racist to come back to the server anytime LOL are you kidding me!!! Sorry guys I just woke up.....As you know when I play CSS I am usually at work.....When I die during a round I usually get up and do something. When I sat down last night for a new round the first thing i saw was Pokabur saying something about "that is a sterotype that black people are stupid". Then other people were chiming in on this. I then started copying and pasting stuff to Therrin. He just told me to tell poka to stfu. Poka refused so Therrin came in and took care of it. Sorry I did not record a demo, my fault guys. I enjoy playing with Pokabur and if my opinion matters I do not think a one week ban is necessary.

Well, I think with tek's response it make it even clearer that this was miscommunicated.

He's admittedly unaware of the full story...he's corroborating the idea that poka was enforcing rules (IMO) by stating

I'm not usually one to monday morning QB someone else's handle, but I think this could have been better dealt with, and I think some decisions were made with some bad and incomplete information. Seems blatantly unjust. More concerning, is that, this appears to serve as a warning to those who might enforce the rules...

Technically, according to banlenght guidelines as well, this should be a 2 day ban.
I think this one should be removed. Ban the guy who told the joke, poka was just doing his job as a member.

I'd like to know why as an unpaid admin I cant reserve the right to be lazy at 4am??? Anyone have a good answer for that? This is the second night in a row that i've had to get called in at an ungodly hour of the morning when noone else was on. And *IM* the lazy one.

I tried to settle it without having to get on. yeah. and i cant see a reason why Tekniq would LIE about an admin wanting someone to drop a racial discussion. Maybe other things, yeah, but about stopping a racial discussion? Gimme a break.

Im kinda pissed off that Poka wants to dictate what my actions need to be at 4am, and then goes so far as to try and tell me how to run my job. Funny, when I was in the server talking to you and they were saying you said that, you never denied it or tried to make it "clear" what it was you were saying at the time. It just looked like you had said something racist, and you just let me beleive it.

You dont like that you got banned? Dont even discuss racial topics with people. Someone else wants to say something, let them. But let THEM be the only person who's reported. Dont even bring yourself into it, dont give yourself any chance of being misunderstood. Just stay out of it.

And if you're gonna demand that an admin wake his ass up at 4am and come settle things, for God's sake, dont have typed anything into text chat that can be misconstrued and then not try to defend against it. That's just stupid.
